ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN (October 7, 2022) – On October 6-7 in Astana, the USAID Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity held a training workshop on the Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) Nexus simulation game at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the EU-funded “Nexus Dialogue in Central Asia” project.

Thirty-two professors, Master’s students, and Ph.D. students from the Academy were introduced to the game, which presents scenarios for addressing the interconnection between water, energy, food, and environmental security. Those participating in the training will now use the game to instruct future students. The game set was presented to the Academy by the EU and USAID.
