Online Workshop for Young Men: "Engaging Men in Gender Equality in Central Asia"

At the request of our partners from the European Union, the Diplomatic Academy invites young men to a unique two-day online workshop organized by the OSCE Gender Issues Program. The workshop focuses on promoting gender equality and engaging men in this crucial work.

Dates and Time:

  • Day 1: January 16, 2025, 6:00–8:00 PM (Astana, Ashgabat, Tashkent, Dushanbe), 7:00–9:00 PM (Bishkek).
  • Day 2: January 21, 2025, 6:00–8:00 PM (Astana, Ashgabat, Tashkent, Dushanbe), 7:00–9:00 PM (Bishkek).

Who Can Participate?

  • Young men aged 18–30 residing in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, or Afghanistan.
  • Participants with experience or interest in promoting gender equality and exploring male roles in society.

What Will You Gain from the Workshop?

  • Learn strategies for engaging men in gender equality efforts.
  • Discuss norms and stereotypes influencing behavior, health, and gender relations.
  • Explore the updated OSCE toolkit for working with men on gender equality.
  • Participate in interactive discussions and build a network of like-minded individuals.

Working Languages: Russian and English (with simultaneous interpretation).
