Artificial Intelligence for Weather and Climate Autumn School 2024

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool for advancing the fields of weather and climate science. The application of AI techniques, such as deep learning and neural networks, has opened new avenues for improving forecasting accuracy, understanding atmospheric dynamics, and addressing complex climate-related challenges. The “Artificial Intelligence for Weather and Climate Autumn School” aims to equip participants with both fundamental and specialized skills in leveraging AI for meteorological and climatological applications.

Given the growing interest and success in AI-driven approaches to environmental science, we are excited to announce the upcoming “Artificial Intelligence for Weather and Climate Autumn School”, scheduled from October 28 to 31, 2024, at the Bruno Kessler Foundation - ECT* headquarters. This intensive four-day program will offer a blend of face-to-face lectures and hands-on application labs designed to foster a deep understanding of AI methodologies in the context of weather and climate science.

The “Artificial Intelligence for Weather and Climate Autumn School” will offer a class of 25 students face-to-face lectures and application labs to acquire basic and advanced skills in using artificial intelligence methods in weather and climate science.

When: From Monday, October 28 to Thursday, October 31, 2024

Where: At the Bruno Kessler Foundation, Trento, Italy.

Language: The official language of the school is English
