APPLY
An annual group of 30 to 35 Fellows comprised of professionals and practitioners from various fields and backgrounds will participate in the Initiative, based on the sub-themes of the program. Each group will actively engage with the issues, phenomenon, future prospects, and impacts of the key issues within the sub-themes.
Applications for year 2 of the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative are now open until June 7th, 5PM CET.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE FOR YEAR TWO: Connecting Technologies (2024)
Theme Focus: Policy professionals who are passionate about exploring the relationship between technology and its impacts on societal growth, governance, equity, security, and environmental sustainability.
Professional Background: Early-career professionals from diverse fields, including academia, business, public sector, and civil society.
Global Participation: Seeking a cohort of 30~35 fellows, comprising Korean nationals (15) and international participants (20).
Target Geographies: Limited to applicants based in or whose work has a focus on countries of the OECD:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.
Sub-theme Engagement: Candidates should have professional experience with and interest in at least one of the sub-themes of the program (please refer to the sub-themes from Year 2: Connecting Technologies item on this page).
Active Participation: Participants must be prepared to actively delve into the issues, phenomena, future prospects, and impacts of the critical issues emerging within the sub-themes. Please review what the participation would entail and learn more about the format of the program here.
TIMELINE AND COMMITMENT
Applicants should be available for the following activities:
• Between September and November, 2024 | Online On-boarding Workshops
• December 4 to 8, 2024 | In person program in Salzburg at Schloss Leopoldskron, the historic home of Salzburg Global Seminar.
Transportation, meals, and accommodation expenses for the program in Salzburg will be covered, thanks to the support of KFAS.
SELECTION PROCESS
There will be a joint selection between KFAS and Salzburg Global Seminar in which both organizations identify a list of potential Fellows.
KFAS will take leadership on the recruitment and selection of Korean participants, and Salzburg Global Seminar will recruit Fellows from the rest of the world.
