National celebration of Amu Darya River Day in Kyrgyzstan

The event is organized by the USAID Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity in cooperation with the Water Resources Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.  Participants:
1. Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Water Resources Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2. Representatives of academic and research institutes hosting
participation in the implementation of Project activities on modeling and scientific and educational cooperation;
3. Representatives of basin organizations and basin environmental administrations;
4. Representatives of the public and the media;
5. Local self-government bodies.

Within the framework of the event, a photo contest among the media and a video contest among schoolchildren were held.
