National workshop on Robust Decision Support (RDS) Process for the Amudarya River Basin

In Ashgabat, the USAID Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity hosted a workshop with representatives from Turkmen government ministries on methods and software for long-term water and energy planning to improve national water management.

The participants shared information about the national plans and strategies as a first step toward developing a regional water model for the entire Amy Darya basin. Similar workshops have been organized in the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan and another is planned for Tajikistan.
