The Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) announces a competition for the position of an expert on the development and promotion of the Community of Practice platform.

Contract duration	6 months with a possible extension depending on the results and goals of project’s further development and implementation activities.

The objectives of engaging an expert to the project:

• Reaching the target audience through a representative of the Network of Academic Societies;

• Promotion and development of the Community of Practice platform (hereinafter CoP) on the RiverBp website;

• Attracting to the CoP the expert community in the field of water resources and the energy sector with a focus on the interlinkage “water-energy-food-ecosystems".

Responsibilities:

• Attracting experts from government agencies to the CoP;

• Attracting the academic community;

• Attracting independent experts;

• Attracting the youth (doctoral students, undergraduates);

• Collection and processing of proposals for editing and improving the platform;

• Promotion of CoP and its materials through personal pages on social networks: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn;

• Lead the activities on the platform itself (running the forum);

• Search and provision of thematic materials for the platform (courses, trainings, lectures, publications, podcasts, videos, etc.).

Expected results:

• All tasks of the specialist are performed promptly, without additional control, at the systematic level, ensuring the necessary quality;

• Dissemination and promotion of CoP at the regional level.

Requirements:

• Experience and skills:

- At least five (5) years of experience in the field of environmental protection and/or water, energy and food security;

- Excellent command of Russian and English;

- Excellent analytical and communication skills;

- The skill to formulate a clear and concise text;

- The skill to work with social media accounts;

- The skill to quickly and independently solve any given tasks.

• Education:

-  Higher education in the relevant fields;

-  Good written and spoken English and Russian are required.
