We are pleased to share the final issue of the newsletter published by the Global Nexus Secretariat (GNS), which summarizes the results of Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus based projects:
Nexus Regional Dialogues Programme, which covered 5 regions of the world: Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and Northern Africa, the Niger Basin and Southern Africa, Central Asia.
The bulletin also presents the lessons learned during the implementation of the above-mentioned Nexus projects.

Brief reference
The project "Nexus Dialogue in Central Asia", funded by the European Union, was implemented by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia from 2016 to 2023. The main objectives of the project were:
To establish an enabling political and technical environment for sustainable and climate-resilient multi-sectoral investments to increase WEF security in Central Asia;
As a result of the project, four Nexus demonstration projects on the following tasks were implemented:
To tackle the sedimentation issue at Tuyamuyun Hydro Complex (Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan)
To improve energy efficiency at pumping stations in the Sughd region (Tajikistan)
To pilot a closed root system for planting saxaul seedlings on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea (Kazakhstan)
